Hi Georgi!

Great work in your recent blitz sessions – your fighting spirit and creativity really stand out. Here is a concise review of your current form, followed by a practical action-plan for the next few weeks.

What’s already working

  • Dynamic, flexible openings. With White you’re alternating between 1.d4/1.Nf3 systems and achieve lively pawn-breaks such as b4 or f4 (see the rapid attack in the win vs. Bekaeasycool). Your opponents rarely equalise comfortably.
  • Tactical alertness. You often spot intermediate moves (zwischenzug) and “hidden” resources (e.g. 27.Rxf5!! in the win vs. vovachesss).
  • Active rook play. In many endgames you double or swing rooks to the seventh rank with good conversion rates. Keep leaning on this strength.

Key areas to focus on next

  1. Time management. Four of your last five losses were on the clock when the position was still playable (e.g. vs. AlexeiShirov). Aim to reach move 25 with ≥45 sec. by cutting long thinks in familiar structures.
  2. Handling Caro-Kann & Bogo structures as Black.
    • In the loss to LikeWater the …g4/h5 advance was premature and weakened dark squares.
    • Against Iskusnyh the …Nc6 Bogo line was playable, but 18…Nd4?! allowed a strong passed pawn. Review practical options like …Re7 & …Rd7.
  3. Converting material edges. When two pawns up you occasionally chase more pawns instead of centralising the king (see Diagram after 32…Kd4?? vs. LikeWater). A quick mental checklist – king, rook activity, passer – will help you close games efficiently.

Illustrative snapshot

The critical moment from your loss vs. Iskusnyh:

Instead of 18…Nd4?! you had the quieter 18…Qd7! keeping the centre closed and preparing …Rad8. Try analysing this line with an engine for 10 minutes – it’s a useful template.
