Meet the Grandmaster
Aarav Dengla, also known as AaravDenglaOfficial, holds an official FIDE Grandmaster title, but his true kingdom is the kingdom of the five-minute game. Aarav seems far more comfortable squinting at a suspicious premove than sitting through a 40-move theoretical debate. He's the kind of player who will happily play a bullet game at 3am, and do it with the same enthusiasm most of us reserve for dessert.
He is primarily a blitz beast. A favorite of his is to sprint through opening, outcompute you in the middle game, and leave you mopping the endgame. The more unreasonable the clock, the bigger his grin.
The Rocket Ride
Aarav's online rise has the shape of a skate ramp that someone strapped to a volcano. In 2022, his rating was respectable but not yet mythical. By 2026, he had crossed the 3000 barrier in blitz, flirting with a peak of 3109. He also grew to be a threat in bullet, climbing close to 3000 while playing thousands of games.
Not bad for someone whose bullet chart has more loops than their opening book. He surpassed 2800 in blitz many times, and his endgame frequency suggests he does not just win the early battle, he often sticks around for the whole war (85% of his games go to the endgame).
Move One Shenanigans
If you want to know how Aarav thinks, look at his favorite regions of the opening tree. As White, he is famously fond of Nimzo-Larsen Attack and the risky, fun side of 1.e4, where he picks up points against well-known responses such as the Caro-Kann Defense: Exchange Variation and the sharp Sicilian Defense: Najdorf Variation.
In the long rapid games, his nimzo-larsen record is almost comical: a perfect 11 wins from 11 when white uses it. In blitz, the same opening is not a joke, it is his signature move. The statistics also show he plays e4 about three quarters of the time, but when he wants a snack, he goes for a grin-inducing flank opening instead.
A True Scrapper
This Grandmaster does not fold. His career had a long winning streak of 14 games and some painful shakes, but his comeback rating is a silly 86.8%. Losing a piece rarely discourages him: he still wins around 47% of games after the "oops I dropped it" moment. He is also very likely to have the first check, landing it in 53% of his games. His hand seems to like choosing rook checks especially.
He has dense rivalries online. One of his most frequent dance partners is the bushy PracticeMakesOK, with 36 games against him, and to combine with both pushy hubris, Armin Mušović also stands at 36 meetings. These are the kind of rivals that make his blitz schedule feel like a soap opera with a chess clock.
Margin Notes
He likes to play when the clock says 11:00 (a strange vampire nod to the night), and his winning rate on Wednesdays is his best of the week. He clearly enjoys a good rescue story: only 0.6% of his games end with no drama, and his games average anywhere from 80 to 90 moves before one side finally blinks.
