Antialcoholic: The Sober Sniper of Bullet Chess
Some players dabble in Bullet chess. Antialcoholic collects it in bulk. Since first logging on in late 2021, they have played nearly 28,000 Bullet games, with a Rapid record of 216 wins against 65 losses on the side and a tilt factor of just 10. The username is less a nickname and more a maintenance plan: the decision making here stays bone dry, the losing streaks stay short, and a 26 game winning streak suggests the reset button works.
The 1.e4 Life
Roughly nine of every ten games begin with 1.e4, and the repertoire has the loyalty of a dog. With White, the Caro-Kann Defense gets answered with the Exchange Variation over 1,000 times, the Scandinavian Defense shows up more than 1,000 times and leaves with a 61% loss rate against it, and the Sicilian Defense is steered down the Chekhover Variation, good for a 62.6% score across 1,409 games. With Black it is the Caro-Kann again, 2,845 Bullet games deep, with the Grünfeld Defense Exchange on call for 1.d4 players and 574 patient replies to the Amar Gambit, because Bullet chess attracts inventors.
The signature position, for anyone doing homework:
The Midnight Window
The hour by hour data contains the best joke on the profile. At midnight, Antialcoholic plays at a 69.5% win rate, the single best hour on the clock. One hour later, at 1 a.m., it collapses to 41.1%, the worst hour on the clock. The statistics stop just short of naming a beverage. Tuesdays are the strongest weekday at 58.4%, and the 9 a.m. coffee slot is a healthy 60%. Book the fair fight for 00:00 sharp; wait until 01:00 if you would rather win.
Style: Resign Early, Come Back Late
Two numbers explain the temperament. The early resignation rate is 74%, so lost positions get folded quickly rather than drowned in a slow endgame. Yet the comeback rate is 82.6%: stay in the fight and Antialcoholic flips it more than four times out of five. Games run long, averaging about 72 moves and reaching an endgame 78% of the time. Opponents have resigned 8,907 times, the queen has delivered 27,547 checks, and even after losing a piece the win rate holds at 55%. White scores 60%, Black 54.9%.
The Regulars at the Table
Every Bullet grinder has a bar crowd, and Antialcoholic has standing reservations. Marko Pavlovic is the chief sparring partner at 101 games (53-40-8), with Amr El (46-25-3) and mkapho13122 (44-33-2) also on the friendly side of the ledger. The nemesis title belongs to yanowsky, 64 meetings and a 30-34 score, while Horațiu Rauca clings to a razor thin 29-31 edge. Less blood feud, more reserved table by the window.
The 2026 Breakout
After years orbiting the low 2000s in Bullet, 2026 found the elevator. Blitz climbed from 2310 in March and peaked at 2507 (2026-08-15) in mid August. Bullet hit 2407 (2026-08-24) days later. Rapid set its high mark at 2323 (2026-08-16) on August 16. All three peaks landed inside a ten day window, which is one memorable way to spend a summer.
Rapid: The Quiet Favorite
Slow the clock down and the results get frightening. The Rapid record stands at 216-65-19, with the Caro-Kann winning 70.5% of the time and the Exchange Variation hitting 85% in that pool. A return to Rapid in early 2025 produced 61 wins in the first two months alone. Fast hands, patient head.
Dossier
- Longest winning streak: 26 games. Longest losing streak: 10. The ratio doubles as career advice.
- More than 700 Bullet opponents have tried the Barnes Defense, 1...f6 and all of its dignity. Antialcoholic wins over 60% of those, which is chess slang for mercy.
- 8,907 wins by resignation against 3,731 by checkmate: opponents recognize a lost position when they are sitting in one.
- Daily chess record: 2 games, 2 wins, 0 losses. Retired undefeated.
- Timeouts: 5,878 wins on the clock, 5,790 losses. In Bullet, the flag cuts both ways.
- Tilt factor: 10. The name is a promise, not a plea.
The formula, in full: open 1.e4, trust the Caro-Kann, resign the lost ones early, and never make a serious decision after 1 a.m.
