Beatriz Noguera: The Blitz Crusader

Beatriz Noguera, who competes online as beatnoguera, holds the title of National Master from her national federation. But her real office is the blitz lobby. Since she logged her first games in 2020 she has played nearly 2,500 online battles, and roughly three quarters of them have come in blitz. That wild devotion to speed chess has produced 919 blitz wins, a peak blitz rating of 1936 (2021-05-19), and a comeback rate of nearly 81 percent.

A Repertoire Built on 1.e4

When Beatriz has the white pieces, there is rarely any mystery about move one. She plays 1.e4 with near-religious consistency. Her database is full of the Sicilian Defense, particularly the Closed Sicilian, where she scores at 58 percent in blitz. The Scotch Game also appears frequently, and she has a soft spot for the French Defense on both sides of the board.

As Black, she sides with chaos. The Blackburne Shilling Gambit is a favorite surprise weapon, and in Daily chess she has won more than 73 percent of those gambit games. She loves complications, and her numbers back it up: when she loses a piece, she still wins about half the time. When she falls behind early, she has pulled out a comeback in 80.85 percent of her games. Panic is not part of her opening repertoire.

Familiar Foes

No opponent has shared the board with Beatriz more often than Ali Rad. Their 27-game series has been a tight tug of war, with Beatriz holding 14 wins. Against Tewari, she has been almost untouchable, winning 21 of 22 meetings. But every fighter has a rival: carsten_nrw has gotten the better of her 10 times to only 3 losses, proving that even the sharpest gambiteer can meet a wall.

Blitz Rollercoaster

Her blitz graph has all the drama of a tournament tiebreak. The ride from her 2021 high to the battles of 2026 tells the story of a player who keeps coming back to the clock, no matter how much it bites. Here is the view from the top:

By the Numbers

  • Longest winning streak: 13 games
  • Longest losing streak: 25 games, followed by a stubborn return to form
  • Endgame frequency: 69.8 percent, because she rarely resigns early
  • Best hour of the day: 09:00, when she wins two thirds of her games
