Dr. Thomas Bohn, better known to the scoreboard as Bierblitz1a, is a FIDE Master with what appears to be a doctorate in doing things quickly. The username is German for "beer blitz," which is either a lifestyle or a warning label, and his preferred habitat is bullet chess, the format where openings are played at typing speed and mercy is optional. Across nearly 3,000 online games he has split his time almost perfectly between bullet and blitz, winning 61% of his games as White and a still-respectable 52% as Black.
