brainrotking1: The Ascent
Few players have lived up to their username quite like brainrotking1. Arriving on the scene in August 2024 with a blitz game that could generously be described as "a work in progress," this fearless competitor did something remarkable: they simply refused to stop playing. What followed was one of the most meteoric climbs you will ever see, going from scrappy newcomer to a 2679 (2026-08-26) of 2679 in roughly two years of relentless, glorious grinding.
The secret? Volume. And more volume. In May 2025 alone, brainrotking1 played over 1,100 games of blitz, apparently deciding that sleep was a temporary condition and the chessboard was a lifestyle. The result was a steady staircase of improvement, month after month, with the occasional dramatic cliff for flavor.
