The Blitz Marathon Runner

Cakrog is a one-format player in the best sense of the term. The data says Blitz, and the data says it a lot. Between January 2024 and late 2026, Cakrog played more than 18,000 rated Blitz games, built almost entirely on a steady diet of 1.e4, and climbed from around 1442 to a career high of 2395 (2026-08-27). The rating chart shows the climb not as a rocket, but as the work of someone who genuinely treats every Blitz queue as unfinished business.

An Opening Library Built on Volume

Cakrog is not shy about opening choices. As White, the first move is almost always e4, leading into the Scotch Game, the Italian Game, and plenty of sharp Sicilian Defense territory. As Black, the main workhorse is the Caro-Kann Defense, played more than 2,300 times across both colors, and the trusty Benoni Defense appears whenever the position calls for a more structures battle.

The opening spreadsheet also reveals a solid French touch as White: the Tarrasch Variation and the Botvinnik line have been especially good to Cakrog, with the best recognized win rate of the most played White repertoire. Some of the most collective patterns are described in the chart below.

A Marathon With Curves

The raw numbers tell a twitchy but honest story. Cakrog has 8,868 wins, 8,503 losses, and only 714 draws from the measured Blitz sample. That makes the draw rate just under four percent, one of the marks of a player who would rather fight than split. The longest winning streak reaches 14, and the longest losing streak reaches 10, which is exactly the kind of edge an 18,000 game sample produces.

Cakrog also plays to the endgame. Around 79 percent of the games reach the endgame, and the average decisive game runs well past move 30, often toward move 70. Early resignation is still very rare, a clue that Cakrog expects the opponent to provide definite proof before collecting any point.

The Constant Rivals

At this volume, every serious candidate emerges. Cakrog has a winning record against Jean-Christophe Martine, with 21 wins, 18 losses, and a single draw in their long series. The reverse side is the regular name Jorge A González Rodríguez: 30 games, 8 wins, 21 losses, 1 draw. It is not a polite collection of games, it is a proper rivalry that explains why Cakrog sometimes shows up to certain duels expecting war.

Break the same pattern: Cakrog checks first 58.1 percent of the time, and the first check is a real signal. When Cakrog lands the first check, the win rate jumps to nearly 55 percent, while the opponent checking first drops it to anywhere near 37. The numbers are familiar, religious, and a reminder that this player is just not there to take draws.
