Everything Begins With e4

CarlosAmbargate opens almost everything with 1.e4, then happily waits for the French Defense to arrive. He has an obvious soft spot for French Defense lines, especially the Advance and Exchange variations. When he wants spice, he reaches for the Blackburne Shilling Gambit, a classic trap-filled setup that explains both his wins and his occasional disappearing queen.

As a Daily player, his opening results are quietly good. The Barnes Defense, another mystery in his collection, carries a perfect score, and the Scandinavian Defense and Two Knights positions also show up in his favorite meal rotation. No biography of CarlosAmbargate would be complete without mentioning the most persistent dragon in his lobbies: the_matego. That player has appeared across 124 games and turned most of them into a hard lesson in tempo and timing.
