1. Opening efficiency
   • 1…Nc6 → Nimzowitsch: after 2.d4 Nc6 3.d5 Nb8 you concede space and tempo.
     – Try the Baltic plan 2…d5, or switch to a more mainstream defence (French / Caro-Kann) to avoid starting on the back foot.
   • With White your early f-pawn thrust is dangerous, but be sure the centre is firm first (…e5 counters hurt you in several losses).
