Conrado Agaton III: Bullet Chess Royalty with a Prehistoric Streak

The Third of His Name, First of His Time Class

Conrado Agaton III is less a name and more a warning. Presumably there once existed a Conrado Agaton and a Conrado Agaton II, and both wisely avoided online chess. The third did not. Since surfacing in late 2024, he has racked up more than 5,500 games, the overwhelming majority in bullet chess, where the clock gets one minute and mercy gets none.

His name sounds like a Roman provincial governor. His opening repertoire sounds like the Jurassic period. More on that shortly.

The Bullet Chess Machine

Conrado debuted in November 2024 around 1465 and has since clawed his way to a bullet peak of 2504 (2026-03-27), reached in March 2026. That is a climb of over a thousand points, earned the honest way: an absolutely unhinged volume of games. In October 2025 alone he played 1,082 bullet games, roughly one every forty minutes, including while you were sleeping.

The method is unglamorous and ruthless. His wins average about 76 moves, so he is not snatching flags in 15-move miniatures. He grinds. More than four in five of his games reach an endgame, where he slowly tightens the screws until your premoves betray you. He is also a certified flag artist: more than 1,000 of his victories arrived when the opponent simply ran out of time.

  • When a losing game swings back into his reach, he converts at an 87% clip. Drop a piece against Conrado and he will explain, patiently, that it means nothing.
  • Only about 1.7% of his losses are total blowouts. He loses close, or not at all.
  • Tilt factor: 15 out of 100. The man does not tilt. He recalibrates.

And if you suspect bullet is a gimmick, his blitz peak of 2604 (2025-10-16) from October 2025 would like a word.

The French Defense Fortress

As Black, Conrado has one answer to nearly everything, and the answer is French Defense. Hundreds of his games begin 1.e4 e6, and he wins over 55% of his bullet battles in the mainline French. The Exchange Variation alone has hosted nearly 200 of his bullet games, with the Advance, Burn, and Tarrasch setups all filing regular appearances. Around the fortress he stations the offbeat Döry Defense, the stubborn Czech Defense, and the Old Indian, where his Duz-Khotimirsky Variation blitz games run at a scorching 64%.

White Weapons: Alapin and the Rhamphorhynchus

As White, Conrado is a connoisseur of opening names that sound like they were invented during a meteor shower. His signature is the Colle Rhamphorhynchus Variation, a line he has played nearly 150 times in bullet with a healthy winning record. It shares the stable with the Hungarian Opening: Wiedenhagen-Beta Gambit, the King's Indian Attack, and the Australian Defense. His sharpest blade, though, is the Sicilian Defense: Alapin Variation, which he handles at a 68% win rate in bullet. That is not a typo. That is a weapon.

Dynasty historians also note a conversion: in 2025 he opened with 1.e4 nearly 900 times, but by 2026 he had gone d4-first, trading espresso for a calmer, more bureaucratic tea. The scoreboard did not complain.

In rapid, he has even unleashed the Modern Defense: Pterodactyl Variation, which, paired with the Rhamphorhynchus, completes a full prehistoric set. The man may be a III, but his openings are strictly Mesozoic.

Rivals, a Nemesis, and the Austrian Question

No account of Conrado is complete without Aleksandar Dovijanic, his most frequent dance partner at 50 games and a 29-19-2 edge in Conrado's favor, one of the great quiet rivalries of the online boards. Armen Grigoryan has been a favorite victim at 12-3-1. Meanwhile gm-estebancanal somehow trails the head-to-head 6-11-1 against a man whose signature piece of preparation is a dinosaur opening, which the username suggests should be impossible.

Then there is the nemesis file. Edgarma_PCAP leads their series 14-8, and austrianbeerlover holds a frosty 10-4 edge, proving that whatever is in the fridge beats whatever is in the bloodline. Even dynasties have dark chapters: Conrado's longest losing streak sits at 15 games, a stretch he presumably describes as "a rebuild."

The 7 PM Miracle

Conrado's win rate by hour reads like a heart monitor. At 7 PM he wins 87.5% of his games, a number so absurd it deserves its own museum wing. At 8 PM it collapses to 40%, which can only mean the man eats dinner like a professional. He recovers late in the evening, stays dangerous near midnight, and keeps a longest winning streak of 11 games on the shelf.

Against lower-rated opposition he feasts at 65%; against higher-rated opposition he starves at 28%, which is the most honest rating behavior ever recorded. He checks with the queen more than any other piece, over 4,600 times and counting, and his White record (53.7%) comfortably outpaces his Black record (48.9%).

Rapid, Daily, and Other Side Quests

Bullet is the kingdom, but the side conquests are delightful. His rapid record is 12 wins, 1 loss, and 3 draws, a .750 clip suggesting he only plays rapid while feeling immortal, with a peak of 2031 (2026-03-12). In daily chess he is undefeated with a perfect 1-0 record, having correctly concluded that one excellent move per day is a fully respectable lifestyle.

The verdict? Conrado Agaton III is proof that you can carry a name built for a banking dynasty, play openings named after flying reptiles, beat opponents on the board, on the comeback, or simply on the clock, and never, ever tilt. Long may the third reign.
