dxdres: A Rapid Chess Biography Built on 1.e4
Some players ease into online chess. dxdres logged in for the first time in December 2025, went 5-for-5, and then treated 2026 like an all-you-can-play buffet: more than 4,500 rated games in a single year, including two separate months with over 1,000 games. That is not a hobby. That is a calling, possibly with an unhealthy dose of overtime.
The results kept pace with the volume: a blitz peak of 2326 in April 2026, a rapid peak of 2225 in September 2026, and a career blitz ledger of 2,167 wins against 1,977 losses. The preferred format is rapid, where the record gleams at 66-35-7. But the numbers are the side dish. The main course is a repertoire best described as "1.e4, then whatever you bring."
The Repertoire: e4 Forever, French Defense Always
In 2,265 games with the white pieces in 2026, dxdres opened 1.e4 in every single one. Not 99% of them. All of them. The creativity is saved for move two: the Scotch Game against 1.e4 e5 (231 blitz games, 52.8%), a big-sample 59% score against the Caro-Kann Defense, and even 83 appearances against the Barnes Defense (1.e4 f6), a move that did not deserve 83 chances and was punished in 55% of them anyway.
With black, the answer to 1.e4 is the French Defense, in industrial quantities: 370 blitz games in the Exchange Variation, 280 in the Classical/Svenonius lines, and 159 in the Advance. Against 1.d4 it is the Albin Countergambit (265 games, a coin-flip 50.2%), and anyone serving the Amar Gambit loses 62% of the time. Cheese, meet mousetrap.
- French Defense: Exchange Variation, 548 blitz games. This is not an opening choice, it is a lifestyle.
- French Defense: Advance Variation, 37.7% in blitz but a perfect 5-for-5 in rapid. Conclusion: it feeds on slow clocks.
- Scotch Game as White, 231 games and climbing.
- Caro-Kann Defense as White, 59% win rate, the best big-sample result on the entire card.
A typical dxdres opening ceremony, as black:
Style: The Comeback Grinder
dxdres games are not sprints, they are endurance novels. Wins average 73 moves, 76.6% of games reach an endgame, and the early resignation rate is a stubborn 15%. If you win an exchange and smile, check your joy at the door: the comeback rate is 94.34%, and the win rate after dropping material sits at a rude 49%. Only 0.44% of losses are one-sided, which means defeats happen, humiliations do not.
- 668 wins by timeout versus 214 losses on time. The flag is mightier than the sword.
- 1,082 resignation wins and 510 checkmates. The opponent's clock and ego are both valid targets.
- When in doubt, check with the queen: 5,243 queen checks in 2026, roughly 43% of all checks delivered. The king checked 13 times, presumably by accident.
- Deliver the first check and dxdres wins 59% of the time; get checked first and it drops to 40%.
Rapid: The Happy Place
Blitz pays the bills, but rapid is where dxdres shines: a 66-35-7 record (61% score), a strength-adjusted win rate of 62%, and a September 2026 surge in which 92 games pushed the rating from 2077 to 2225 (2026-09-30). The rapid opening card is ruthless: 7-for-7 in the French Exchange as White, 5-for-5 in the French Advance as black, 3-for-3 in the Albin, and a 71% score against the Caro-Kann.
The chart tells one story: after months of blitz marathon training, dxdres switches to rapid and opponents face a well-rested French Defense specialist with a fresh clock. Good luck with that.
Opponent Files: Rivals, Frenemies, and One Final Boss
Every grinder accumulates a roster of repeat offenders. dxdres has a full case file.
- ezesar: 18 meetings, 10-8. The house sparring partner. Neither party has ever heard of taking a day off.
- datogagadze: 14 games, 8-5-1, the rare series that even produced a draw.
- rpkosovo: 12 games, 5-7. A losing record, one of very few. Filed under "motivation."
- sulfancuk: 10 games, 3-7. The final boss. dxdres keeps queueing anyway, which is either bravery or denial.
- kbock4: 9 games, 5-2-2. Where draws go to happen.
Against lower-rated opposition dxdres wins 67.5% of the time; against higher-rated players it drops to 24%. In plain terms: eats down the ladder, donates up it, and climbs anyway.
The dxdres Fun File
- Best hour to play: 6 a.m., with a 75% win rate. Either an early bird or someone who never truly went to sleep.
- The 1 a.m. win rate is 44.2%. By 4 a.m. it is back over 58%. The games never stop, they just get worse, then better.
- Friday is the best day of the week (52%), Monday the worst (47.4%). Even the calendar gets tilted.
- Longest win streak: 11 games. Longest loss streak: 14 games. Tilt factor: 14, remarkably serene for someone playing 1,000 games a month.
- Bullet record: 27-28-1. Bullet is a coin-flipping side quest, not a way of life.
The scouting report if you face dxdres: expect 1.e4, expect the French Defense, bring a clock you are willing to lose, and whatever you do, do not celebrate winning the exchange. Almost nothing stays won around here.
