María Eugenia Ramirez (Euge_chess) - Woman FIDE Master

María Eugenia Ramirez, affectionately known in the chess community as Euge_chess, is a formidable Woman FIDE Master whose career sparkles with tactical prowess and a dash of flair. With a peak blitz rating soaring close to 2300 and bullet rating breaking the 2000 barrier, María Eugenia embodies the perfect blend of speed and strategy—like a chess ninja with a coffee addiction!

A Journey Through the Ranks

Starting from humble beginnings in bullet chess in 2020 with a rating just above 1300, María Eugenia catapulted her skills to a maximum of 2335 in just a year. Not one to shy away from intense battles, she has played over a thousand bullet games and nearly 900 blitz games, showing resilience and competitive grit. Her style? Patient, strategic, and occasionally sprinkle with surprises—because who says chess must be serious all the time?

Playing Style & Strengths

  • Endgame Specialist: Playing nearly 89% of her games through to the endgame, María Eugenia is not afraid of long fights and complex positions.
  • Comeback Queen: With an astonishing 90.85% comeback rate, if she’s ever down a piece, don’t count her out—she turns the tides with brilliance, boasting a 100% win rate after losing a piece.
  • Patience & Psychology: Despite a low tilt factor (only 11), she keeps her cool—only resigning early in about half a percent of her games. María Eugenia doesn’t throw tantrums, she throws tactical blows instead.

On the Opponents Front

María Eugenia has taken on the likes of promitheus, bobby_zischer, and sargissyansargis with perfect records against each—a 100% win rate that would make even the chess gods nod in approval. Of course, every hero has a nemesis. Several opponents stand undefeated against her, keeping the spirit of rivalry lively and the storyline intriguing!

Numbers Don't Lie (But They Laugh a Little)

Her longest winning streak is an impressive 16 games—which gives her ample time to brag at her next chess meetups. Currently riding a youthful 3-game streak, María Eugenia is ever hungry for the next challenge, the next checkmate, and maybe just a little bit of friendly trash talk.

Fun Fact

When not crushing paws and kings online, María Eugenia’s win rate spikes to a delightful 80% during the early morning hours (4 AM, where the world is quiet and brains are sharp). Clearly, the best moves come when others are still hitting snooze.

In summary, María Eugenia Ramirez is a chess maestro who proves that titles, ratings, and serious skill can come with a playful spirit and love for the game. Watch out on the board—Euge_chess might just smile sweetly before delivering the checkmate of the century.

Coach's Avatar
