Meet Evgen1000
Евгений Сироткин, known to the chess world as Evgen1000, is a blitz addict with a warrior's heart. In less than two years he has played over 7,000 rated blitz games, climbing from a humble 1334 rating to a peak of 2276. For someone whose username modestly claims four digits, he has delivered five digits' worth of drama.
The Long Climb
Evgen1000's blitz graph reads like a mountaineer's diary: steep ascents, sudden drops, and a stubborn refusal to stay down.
His peak blitz rating of 2276 (2026-04-08) arrived in April 2026, during a month that saw 761 blitz games. That is roughly 25 battles per day. He has also reached 1917 in bullet and 2017 in rapid, but blitz is clearly his natural habitat.
Opening Repertoire
Evgen1000 is a creature of habit. With the white pieces he loves the Amar Gambit, that delightfully weird 1.Nh3, and he has played it more than 400 times in blitz with a winning score. With black, his sharpest weapon is the Sicilian Defense: Kan Variation, Knight Variation, where he scores a sparkling 59.8% win rate across 321 games. When he wants a quieter life, he steers into the Caro-Kann Defense.
Friends and Nemeses
Every chess journey needs a rival, and dmitrynvrsk has been Evgen1000's personal nightmare: seven meetings, six losses, one draw, zero wins. oferassabi, on the other hand, has been a favorite opponent, with Evgen1000 winning five of their six encounters. And uskitas keeps it interesting, splitting their eight games almost evenly.
Grit, Streaks, and Comebacks
Evgen1000 never goes quietly. His comeback rate sits at a mighty 79.32%, and he still wins 47.31% of the time after losing a piece, which is frankly not supposed to happen. His longest winning streak reached 13 in a row, while his worst slide was 12. What defines him is the bounce: after dipping below 2000 in the spring of 2025, he rebounded to a 2243 peak by September. He also likes to make opponents work for it, with winning games averaging almost 70 moves and almost 80% of his games reaching the endgame.
- His best hour is midnight: he wins 80% of games played at 00:00.
- He almost never resigns early, with a resignation rate below 1%.
- His most common first move as White is 1.d4, but the Amar Gambit is his signature chaos.
- Against higher-rated opponents he wins about one in four, while against lower-rated players he converts a brutal 67.6%.
