Goratha is a chess player who found the internet in October 2017, rated a very humble 582 in bullet, and decided that losing hundreds of games while having fun was an acceptable way to begin. Years later, they are still here, still playing, and still very much a bullet specialist. With roughly 29,000 rated games logged, Goratha has made more moves than most humans make excuses.
Goratha's preferred time control is unambiguously bullet. The click rate, the honour mode, the sudden-death clocks: all of it seems built for them. Their early ratings swing around like a pendulum, but their personality does not. They keep pressing the rematch button.
Bullet Journey
The road from 582 to a ceiling of 1816 (2026-05-24) was long, noisy, and full of three-minute heartbreak. A massive burst of games in late 2020 carried Goratha over the 1,000 mark, then the 2021 grind pushed bullet into the 1,400s. The real breakthrough appears later: by May 2026, Goratha touches a peak bullet rating of 1816 and proves that late bloomers can still be sharp.
Still, the road was not a straight line. Goratha once lost 23 games in a row. Not 12, not 18, but 23. The longest winning streak, by contrast, was 12. That asymmetry is perfect: this is a player who absorbs punishment and never actually leaves.
The Opening Library Is e4 and Friends
Goratha has essentially one religion with the pieces, and that religion is 1. e4. Year after year, the first move is e4 in nearly every recorded game. This does not mean the repertoire is boring. It means Goratha has learned how to face a ridiculously wide crowd.
- Caro-Kann Defense: Goratha has played it over 3,400 times. It is the defining stubborn Black opening of their career.
- Scandinavian Defense: The second home, with more than 2,400 bullet games and a very similar win rate.

Goraata has not met every opponent in the world, but they have met a few of them many times. The most persistent rival is Michael Bowersock. In 69 games, bowersock has 67 wins and 2 draws, with no wins for Goratha. Most people would stop playing after that. Goratha apparently sees it as a research project.
These repeated rematches are part of the appeal. Morning games, evening games, games after tilt, games after breakfast: Goratha treats every rematch as a new data point on the way to a better conversion.
Fighting Spirit
Goratha is not a player who folds quietly. The stats show a comeback rate around 85 percent and a surprisingly solid 45.85 win rate after losing a piece. That is not normal. That is the energy of someone who hears the opponent offer a trade and says, OK, but we still need to play the ending.
Their longest losing streak is 23, the same as the tilt factor. If that is not a magic sign to keep playing, nothing else is. Average decisive games last around 66 moves, so Goratha is not a flagging specialist. They want to solve at least a few of chess middle game and ending mysteries.
