Meet hello_vap
hello_vap is a versatile online chess battler whose journey runs from 2017 into 2026. With more than 2,300 rated games across rapid, blitz, bullet and daily chess, this username has become a familiar sight in the queue. While the calendar says all time controls, bullet seems to be the favorite playground: fast clocks, faster decisions, and no time to regret a move.
Career Snapshot
hello_vap started near the 1,000 mark and climbed steadily. The rapid ladder tells the story best: from a modest 964 in March 2018 to a career best of 1985 (2025-10-11). The bullet rating also peaked at 1634 (2025-03-27), proof that the speed demon has real technique behind the click.
The longest winning streak reached 20 games, and even after a loss hello_vap rarely stays down, with a come-from-behind rate north of 65%.
Playing Style
hello_vap is a practical, attacking player who wins almost equally with White (57.45%) and Black (56.5%). The opening board is a museum of offbeat ideas. As Black, hello_vap punishes opponents in the Blackburne Shilling Gambit and handles the Ruy Lopez with confidence, posting a near 67% rapid score in the Spanish torture chamber.
The statistics also tell a story of patience. hello_vap rarely resigns early, wins many games by checkmate or resignation, and turns lost-looking positions back into wins at an impressive rate. If there is a favorite hour, it is 09:00, when the coffee is fresh and the tactics are sharp.
Rivalries
No opponent has crossed swords with hello_vap more often than Luke Widjaja. Their 50-game series is a genuine rivalry, with hello_vap taking 20 wins while the husky has the edge with 27. Another frequent foe is Carla Heredia, a 41-game saga that has kept both players on their toes.
Against other familiar names such as nintendo-pro7, hackervibes1 and zer0959, hello_vap has been merciless, including a perfect 20-0 score against nintendo-pro7. The moral is clear: do not let this player get comfortable.
Legacy
hello_vap may greet you politely, but on the board it is all business. With a balanced scorecard, a love of bullet, and a long list of rivals, this is a player who simply loves the game. Whether grinding out a 65-move win or delivering a crisp checkmate, hello_vap always finds a way to make the board interesting.
