Meet HJLC2009, a Woman FIDE Master who apparently believes the chess clock is a start button rather than a safety. Since wading into online play in late 2022, HJLC2009 has piled up a small army of games and watched their Blitz rating climb like a staircase through the clouds. They look strongest in the blitz arena, which suits someone whose best time of day is approximately 01:00, when the chess lobbies are quiet and the mistakes are loud.
An opening pumpkin
If you see HJLC2009 on the white side, the first move is (almost) always 1.e4, and that means you will get plenty of Caro-Kann Defense and Sicilian Defense battles. They are equally comfortable on the black side, especially the Blackburne Shilling Gambit, a line that has given them a comfy 84.6% win rate in the blitz data. Costs are not here for the quiet exchange, they are here to keep the fireworks burning.
Fixed friends
Every profile deserves a proper nemesis. HJLC2009's hardest booking has been against Grant Peed, a 35-49-15 brawl that fits a kind of "Now come back" duo. There is also the very real house losing specialist at mattiasan10, who has gloated too often in their 81 set: only 15 wins for HJLC2009. The grind doctor
They do not resign early, binge on history and even won their own game after a friendly piece. Rated as a 84% come from being down, HJLC2009 can sit in an endgame while the fire alarm goes off. A 24-game winning streak is the loudest noise in the this irrational pocket, but they have also shown impulse, sometimes to the point of a 11-game losing streak like a temporary WiFi.
