James Santos: The Blitz Machine Behind J4m3sSter
Some players ease into chess. James Santos fell out of a plane and built his wings on the way down. Known on the board as J4m3sSter, James exploded onto the scene in late summer 2026 and promptly turned the blitz world into his personal training ground, climbing from the 1600s to a peak of 2454 (2026-09-18) in a matter of weeks. His preferred time control is blitz, and it shows: this is a man who plays chess the way other people check their phones, constantly and with great urgency.
He is not limited to speed chess, mind you. His bullet rating has flirted with the 2500s, which suggests that James either thinks incredibly fast or has simply decided that thinking is optional. Both theories have passionate supporters.
