JamDiBel: A Blitz Chess Biography

Welcome to the JamDiBel Experience

Since bursting onto the online chess scene in September 2023, JamDiBel has played more than 7,000 games, and almost none of them began the way an opening manual would recommend. A devoted blitz chess competitor with a flair for the unconventional, JamDiBel has climbed from humble beginnings all the way to a peak of 2474 (2026-10-02), all while playing first moves that make theory books quietly close themselves in shame.

The Amar Gambit Lifestyle

As White, JamDiBel is faithfully devoted to the Amar Gambit, an offbeat line built around the polite little shove of 1.a3.

The conversion was total and, frankly, hilarious to watch. In 2023, JamDiBel opened with 1.d4 in 637 games. In 2025, the tally was 1,528 games of 1.a3 against exactly one lonely 1.d4. The patient was beyond saving, and the rating graph, as it turns out, did not mind one bit.

As Black, the party continues with the Barnes Defense, played over 1,000 times in blitz with a winning record, plus a healthy dose of the Australian Defense. And here is the twist: when JamDiBel deigns to play conventional chess, the Sicilian Defense produces a 71.8% win rate. Proof that the weirdness is a lifestyle choice, not a limitation. Bonus points for dispatching the Nimzo-Larsen Attack 63% of the time and for surviving the Colle [redacted] Rhamphorhynchus Variation, an opening whose true middle name has apparently been classified for everyone's safety.

The Story So Far

The chart tells the tale: a respectable 2023 plateau, a quiet 2024, a chilly start to 2025, and then a rocket ship.

From the mid-1800s in mid-2025, JamDiBel stormed past 2,200 by October 2025 and kept climbing, touching 2474 in October 2026. Gaining over 600 points while abandoning mainstream opening theory is not the method the manuals recommend, which makes it all the more impressive. Highlights include a 26-game winning streak, and one 16-game losing streak that shall never be discussed again.

Style: Grind, Comeback, Repeat

  • Roughly 84% of games reach an endgame, and wins average a grueling 73 moves. JamDiBel does not do quick exits.
  • Drop a piece against JamDiBel and expect trouble: nearly half of those games still end in a win, with comebacks mounted about 79% of the time.
  • Only 0.87% of losses are one-sided. Beating JamDiBel generally means earning it over the full 80 moves.
  • The queen is the favorite attacking piece, with more than 7,000 queen checks delivered and counting.
  • Flag battles are a way of life: 1,264 wins on time, and 2,115 losses to it. The clock is an active participant in every game.

Rivals and the Nemesis

No rivalry has been tested more often than the one with jovanzivic10, across 21 meetings with a record of 6 wins, 13 losses and 2 draws. A stubborn puzzle that JamDiBel keeps cheerfully re-attempting, which is either resilience or denial.

Every hero needs a nemesis, and for JamDiBel it is svchess1956: eight losses, one draw, zero wins. Some players study openings to improve. JamDiBel may simply need to study this one opponent.

  • Bullet chess is also on the resume: over 2,500 games and a peak of 2188, up from a first-ever rating of 662, which is the most humbling phone number in chess.
