What you already do well

• Active piece play: early …Nd4 and Bxf2⁺ ideas show sharp tactical eyes.
• Passed-pawn pressure: several wins came from racing a- or b-pawns down the board.
• Fighting spirit: you keep the game complicated and opponents flag – a great bullet skill.

Priority 1 – Time management

Most recent results (wins and losses) were decided on the clock. Keeping even two extra seconds often changes the result.

• Premove automatic recaptures and safe king moves.
• Think during the opponent’s turn; move instantly when the board comes back.
• When winning, simplify to low-risk premoves (e.g. march a pawn) instead of hunting the perfect mate.

Priority 2 – King safety & efficient development

Early piece-hunting before castling cost two quick games. Example:

• Four piece re-moves (…Ng4, …Bf4, …Bh6) delayed castling & left the king in the centre.
• Dark-squares around f7/g7 were weak because the g-pawn was gone.

Rule: Develop → castle → connect rooks before launching raids.

Priority 3 – Avoid over-extension

In the Philidor loss you pushed a- and b-pawns far while pieces lagged, allowing pins on the c-file.

• Advance one flank pawn only if a rook can quickly use the open file.
• Keep the pawn chain compact; loose pawns cost valuable premove tempo.

Opening menu for the next week

• White: Closed Sicilian – you already score well with 1.e4 c5 2.Nc3 followed by g3, Bg2, f4.
• Black vs 1.e4: Modern Defense – 1…g6 2…Bg7 3…d6 4…Nf6, quick castling and counter-strike with …c5.

One simple repertoire = less thinking, more premoving.

Daily tactics warm-up (5 min)

Solve 3–5 puzzles before playing. Fresh tactical vision saves both pieces and seconds.

Bullet pre-game checklist

1. Premove slider ON & mouse on solid surface.
2. First 10 moves: centre pawns, minor pieces, castle.
3. Decide on next move during opponent’s clock.
