kidcobra: The Cobra Who Never Blinks
kidcobra is an online chess phenomenon built on sheer volume and venomous counterattacks. With tens of thousands of games played, this player has turned the digital board into a personal hunting ground. While the preferred time control is Rapid, the numbers make one thing clear: the cobra strikes hardest when the clock is cruel.
Early Strikes
kidcobra entered the online chess scene in 2018 with humble beginnings. A Bullet rating near 1362 and a Rapid rating near 1331 gave little hint of what was coming. By 2026 the transformation was complete, with peak ratings of 2735 in Bullet, 2615 in Blitz, and 2451 in Rapid. The climb was powered by thousands of games per month and a willingness to face anyone, anywhere, at any speed.
The Bullet Kingdom
The heart of kidcobra's empire is bullet chess. The record shows 21,242 bullet wins against 15,935 losses and 3,364 draws, a mountain of games that would make even the most dedicated grinders dizzy. The opening repertoire leans heavily on 1.e4, with the Sicilian Defense and Caro-Kann Defense appearing thousands of times. The Scandinavian Defense also shows up as a favorite reply, especially when facing tricky opponent setups.
- Bullet wins: 21,242
- Longest winning streak: 34 games
- Longest losing streak: 12 games
- Most played opening as White: Sicilian Defense with 2,755 games
Rivalries
No biography is complete without rivals. The most played opponent is Drew C, with an astonishing 2,043 meetings. The head to head is almost perfectly balanced at 910 wins, 886 losses, and 247 draws, a rivalry for the ages. Then there is blazing, who holds the edge with 274 wins against kidcobra's 173. Not every feud is painful. Against timothy000000009, kidcobra ran up a dominant 242 wins against only 49 losses, and realfnnickeh30 has felt the fangs 144 times.
Style and Survival
The playing style is pure counterpunching. kidcobra wins 54 percent of games with the white pieces and 50.96 percent with black. The comeback rate sits at 84.66 percent, meaning the cobra is rarely dead even after losing a piece. The win rate after dropping material is still 49.3 percent, a nightmare for opponents who celebrate too early. Endgames are reached in 77.87 percent of games, and the average first capture arrives around move five.
The best time to face this player is probably not 08:00, where the win rate jumps to 61.11 percent. At 09:00 the story changes, with a win rate of only 36.67 percent, so schedule your rematch accordingly. A tilt factor of 12 suggests the cobra can be rattled, but those windows are rare and dangerous to exploit.
Rapid Respect
Despite the bullet addiction, kidcobra lists Rapid as the preferred time control, and the results are sharp. In Rapid games the Sicilian Defense produces a 75 percent win rate, while the Scotch Game scores an eye popping 78.57 percent. The Four Knights Game also delivers a healthy 70 percent. The Rapid rating climbed from modest beginnings to a peak of 2451 (2026-04-21) in 2026, proof that a player can keep improving even after tens of thousands of games.
