Danis Kuandykuly, better known online as KuanDan, is a FIDE International Master who treats the chess clock as a sparring partner. He was a chaotic amateur in 2019, hovering in the 1500s, and by 2026 he had transformed into one of the most dangerous Blitz operators on the site, reaching a peak of 2694 (2026-08-31). His specialty is messy, sharp chess, played with a smile and a very fast mouse.

Kuandykuly's online career has a beautiful upward curve. He dipped into serious online play in 2020, playing 120 Blitz games in April alone, slowly crawling from the 1400s into the 1500s.
