👍 What you’re already doing well

• Fighting spirit – you often choose active, aggressive pawn breaks ( …d5 vs 1.e4,  …e5 vs the Blackmar-Diemer) and try to seize the initiative early.

🔍 Biggest improvement priorities

1. Opening fundamentals before fancy ideas
   • In multiple losses you played early pawn moves & queen sorties that left pieces undeveloped.
   • Aim for 3 simple goals in the first 10 moves: control the centre, develop minor pieces, castle. Everything else is optional until those are done.
2. King safety
   • Example from the loss to khweziq: after 6.gxf3 your king remained in the centre while Black’s pieces swarmed in.
   • Make castling an automatic habit unless a concrete tactic says otherwise.
3. Avoid hanging pieces
   • In the game versus 2000elo-inchallah you lost both rooks to  …Rxh1 and  …Nxg3.
   • When the opponent threatens two things at once, choose the move that solves the bigger threat first—even if it feels passive.
4. End every calculation with “What can my opponent do?”
   • In several defeats you launched an attack but overlooked the defender’s counter-shot (e.g. 10…Bxd6! refuting Nxd6+).
   • Force yourself to name the opponent’s best reply before you play a move in tactical positions.

🗺️ Study roadmap for the next month

• Play a fixed opening repertoire for 30 games: as White use 1.e4, as Black use the Scandinavian vs 1.e4 and the Queen’s Gambit Declined vs 1.d4. Simplicity beats surprise at this stage.
• Solve 20 tactics per day (themes: pins, forks, discovered attacks). Track streaks with a notebook.
• Annotate every loss. Write one sentence for each move where the engine says ±1.5 or worse: “What did I miss?”
• Play one longer (15|10) game each week and analyse it without an engine for 15 minutes before checking the computer.
