Manuela Hernández Bermúdez
Manuela Hernández Bermúdez, known online as Manuela004, is a Woman FIDE Master and a formidable online chess competitor. Her preferred battlefield is blitz, where quick calculation, fearless tactics, and the occasional “surely this sacrifice works” moment all come together.
Blitz Specialist
Manuela’s chess journey shows remarkable progress, rising from early online play to a recorded blitz peak of 2360. Her overall blitz record includes 476 wins, 395 losses, and 39 draws, while her longest winning streak reached an impressive 29 games.
Her games are rarely sleepy affairs. With an average decisive game length of roughly 76 moves, Manuela is comfortable staying at the board long after many opponents have started searching for the exit sign.
Opening Personality
Manuela004 brings an adventurous repertoire to fast chess. The Amar Gambit has been one of her most successful choices, especially in bullet, while the Scandinavian Defense appears frequently across her games. She also explores the Sicilian Defense, mixing practical positions with plenty of tactical complications.
Her opening statistics suggest a player who values initiative over quiet housekeeping. In other words, Manuela would usually rather create a problem for her opponent than patiently alphabetize the pieces.
Playing Style
- Strong comeback ability, with a recorded comeback rate above 79%.
- Comfortable playing long endgames, which appear frequently in her games.
- Most likely to deliver checks with the queen, though rooks and minor pieces also contribute plenty of mischief.
- Effective with both colors, showing nearly identical win rates as White and Black.
- Particularly dangerous when playing at her best time of day, around 08:00.
