Meet Bhagyashree Patil
Bhagyashree Patil, known online as ProudGuest, has been a loyal citizen of the chess internet since 2020. Her true love is Blitz, where the clock can be scarier than any opponent. Across hundreds of games in bullet, blitz, and rapid, she has built a style that is equal parts adventurous, stubborn, and endlessly rematch-friendly. Her opening cabinet includes the sharp Sicilian Defense, the cheeky Blackburne Shilling Gambit, and a bullet-proof relationship with the Barnes Defense.
Playing Style and Signature Openings
- In bullet, her Sicilian Defense: Closed scores a perfect 100% in sampled games, while the Barnes Defense brings a 77.78% win rate. When the clock is fast, she is dangerous.
- The Blackburne Shilling Gambit is her chaotic friend: roughly 30% in blitz, but a perfect 100% in rapid when she plays it as Black. A true gambiteer at heart.
- She reaches the endgame often, with an endgame frequency around 61%, and averages about 50 moves in wins versus 68 in losses, suggesting she makes opponents work for every point.
- Early resignation is rare, just 4.36%, and her comeback rate sits near 73%, meaning she often fights back from losing positions.
- The queen is her most common checking piece, and she wins about 54% of games when she lands the first check, compared to 23% when she is checked first.
The Rivalry Files
Every online career has a nemesis, and for ProudGuest that nemesis is proudchessmen, her most frequent opponent with 105 meetings. The head to head is lopsided: proudchessmen holds 38 wins against her 65 losses, with a couple of draws. Yet Bhagyashree keeps queuing up for more, showing a competitive spirit that defines her. Regular sparring partners also include piyukiku, pr_aahaanmathur, and neetamathur, forming a homegrown circle of rivals and friends.
Resilience, Streaks, and Quirks
- Her longest winning streak is 11 games, and her longest losing streak is 16. Few players can weather that kind of storm and still come back swinging.
- Her peak ratings tell a story of growth: 1348 (2025-10-10) in bullet, 946 (2025-10-10) in blitz, and 1039 (2021-09-27) in rapid.
- Her best time of day is 2:00 AM, where she has a perfect record in sampled games. Night owl chess is clearly her superpower.
- Fridays are her lucky day, with the strongest win rate by day of the week.
- A tilt factor of 16 suggests she feels the losses, but the rematch button is never far away.
