Who Is remisek?
In Polish, "remis" means "draw", which makes the username remisek translate, more or less, to "little draw". It is a username that is technically a self-report, and the account has honored the prophecy with 449 draws and counting. That, however, is the least interesting thing happening here.
remisek arrived in August 2021, took one look at slower time controls, and then played nearly 7,000 bullet games, roughly three quarters of the 8,800+ games on record. This is a bullet account. The real opponent is not the human across the board; it is the clock, and the clock loses.
The Style: Flagging With a Conscience
remisek's bullet chess is built on patience, spite, and elite clock management. The evidence:
- 1,584 wins by timeout versus 1,153 by checkmate. More victories come from a fallen flag than a fallen king.
- An endgame appears in about 82% of games. In bullet. Voluntarily.
- A comeback rate near 90%: down a piece, down an exchange, down the plot, the clicking simply continues.
- A 60% early resignation rate, because lost positions deserve mercy and the next game is one click away.
- Peak operating hour: 1 AM, including a spotless 100% win rate in that hour on a sample size the account politely declines to discuss.
Casual remisek and rated remisek are reportedly two different organisms, separated by a win-rate gap north of 50 points. Stakes matter. Sleep apparently does not.
The Openings: Czech, Modern and Slightly Cursed
As White, remisek is a one-move philosopher: 1.e4, thousands of times, most often answered by the Scandinavian Defense (358 bullet games). There is also a lingering flirtation with the French Exchange, a line designed to drain the will to live from both sides equally, and a rough 41% record against the Alekhine Defense across 184 meetings.
As Black, the flexibility begins. The signature is the Czech Defense, the most-played single opening on the account at 690 bullet games, backed by the Modern Defense, the actual best weapon: near 50% in bullet and a murderous 54.7% in blitz. Then come the optional delights, like the Barnes Defense (1...f6, 254 games of pure courage) and the Australian Defense, where 1...b6 has produced a proud 40%. Opponents return the favor by opening 1.Nh3, contributing 358 games against the Amar Gambit, and by wheeling out a Colle-family line whose full name contains an entire pterosaur, the Colle [redacted] Rhamphorhynchus Variation, 435 games and counting.
That is 1...f6. The f-pawn marches, the fear retreats. remisek has played it 254 times as Black and had it played back 128 times as White. Diplomacy.

Career Highlights
November 2021: remisek's first bullet rating is 1389. June 2026: a peak of 2383 (2026-06-25), roughly a thousand points later, achieved mostly between midnight and 2 AM. The blitz peak sits at 2195, while rapid, a format played exactly 16 times, stands at a gaudy 15-1, including a 2-0 record with the Blackburne Shilling Gambit, a trap named after a scam, which tells you exactly how seriously the slow format is taken.
Other career milestones include a 12-game winning streak and, in the interest of emotional balance, a 16-game losing streak.
The climb, in chart form. Up, down, flag, repeat.
The Bottom Line
remisek: plays bullet chess at 1 AM, wins on the clock, resigns early, draws 449 games, and answers 1.e4 with the f-pawn about 254 times. The username says "little draw". The flag says otherwise.
