Meet Guk Org inka choi (aka Riedemann)

Some players treat chess like a quiet evening stroll. Not Guk Org inka choi, better known online as Riedemann. This is a player whose preferred time control appears to be bullet and whose fingers appear to be permanently set to rush. Since March 2013, Riedemann has built one of the most impressive online chess stables around: more than 78,000 bullet games, a 35-game winning streak at one point, and enough flag drama to fill an entire series.

That grimace in March 2013 lasted 37 games. The next month? 1,069. At some point the opening ceremony ends and the bullet war never stops. Riedemann reached 2487 (2026-08-15) at the height of the storm, all while keeping a daily supply of time draws.

Bullet Blood, Memory Muscle

Riedemann's bullet graph looks like a heartbeat monitor that refuses to slow down. It starts basically at 1,400 and eventually lands near 2,500, but the path is not a gentle smile. It is a mountain range with tilt valleys. See the full saga with

  • One month, Riedemann played 1,069 bullet games. That is roughly 35 games per day, with no scheduled breaks.
  • The timeout count is a lifestyle: 23,710 wins by timeout and 18,461 losses by timeout. Maneuvering, brain flash, and throne.
  • Riedemann has a 13-game losing streak for every 13 tilt smiles. Classic bullet score.

Preferring time pressure magic in openings is required. Riedemann has an enormous footprint in Alekhine Defense games, treating 1.e4 as an invitation to a nerdy length battle. That is 13,746 bullet games strong. On the white side, 1.Nf3 is the default, which leads wirelessly into Réti Opening. Some things cannot be copy-pasted, but 1.Nf3 can.

shows Riedemann's preferences, unless you want to get into the full reverie of 7,000 Colle attempts. The database demands it.

Endgames and Escapes

Riedemann built a permanent residence inside the endgame. Around 86.9 percent of games get there, which is unusual for a bullet player. yes, some opponents are working toward a quick finish, but Riedemann is happily exchanging pieces until everything feels weird.

The numbers love a comeback. A comeback rate of 80.7 percent says a losing position is not a goodbye, it is a campfire. Even after losing a piece, Riedemann still wins more than half the time (51.3 percent). Early resignation? Almost never, because the flag has not fallen and the opponent is still being human.

Riedemann also does best around 6:00 in the morning, winning 67.6 percent of those tiny owl-shift games. The data suggests that a player who does not sleep will always find a bullet game.

Familiar Rivals

A true internet veteran is defined by enemies. Riedemann has them in stock. The most frequent name is icyavaleigh, with 602 games and a respectable scorebook: 295 wins, 201 losses and 106 draws. That looks like a real rivalry, not a weekly summary.

Then there is bobbyyiyes, who shared the board with Riedemann 561 times and got the ugly end of a points streak: 534 wins, 15 losses and 12 draws. That is statistically a bullet industrial farm, but the opponent still comes back, which gets a certain kind of loyalty.

A few more heroes enter the hall of experience, including pascalantoineantoine and yiyesyiyonovsky, a selection of regulars who understand that Riedemann will show up, play too fast, and then do it again.

Old Muses

Riedemann's daily flag has a strange relationship to time. There are more than 400 Daily games where their record is 100. Because if it is not bullet, the clock is mostly absent anyway. In the tradition of all serious bullet players, Riedemann also has a shorter blitz side: about 49% of blitz games reach the endgame and 37% are won on time. None of this is peaceful; some of it is a warmup.

The best way to know Riedemann is to sit at a keyboard, press the button, lose a piece, maybe get checkmated, and then hear the clock start again. The board after that? No rest, just Réti Opening.
