Bursting onto the Rapid scene in late 2023 as a 1708-rated newcomer, this player spent the next three years zooming upward to a dazzling peak of 2427 (2026-05-28). The username may promise speed, but the results deliver staying power too.

A Love Letter to the Sicilian
TailsSpeedy is a Rapid loyalist first and foremost, with nearly 900 rated Rapid games and a heavy preference for 1.e4. No opening appears in the repertoire more often than the Sicilian Defense, and within that vast wilderness, the sharp Najdorf Variation is home turf. As White, the Caro-Kann Defense Exchange Variation and the Ruy Lopez also make frequent appearances.

Every player needs a worthy rival, and for TailsSpeedy that role belongs to gugugubi.
