Emanuel Vaglio, the Blitz Specialist
Emanuel Vaglio, who plays online as VaglioSagan, is a FIDE Candidate Master known for a high-volume, high-energy approach to chess. With blitz as a preferred battleground, Emanuel has built a formidable playing record through thousands of fast games, where quick decisions and even quicker tactical ideas matter more than leisurely contemplation.
Playing Style
Emanuel’s games are rarely sleepy affairs. The statistics point to a resilient competitor who frequently reaches endgames and is comfortable fighting through long, complicated positions. A comeback rate above 86% suggests that being down material is less a disaster and more an invitation to make the game interesting.
The <Caro-Kann Defense> is one of Emanuel’s most trusted openings, while the <Nimzo-Larsen Attack> has also produced strong results, particularly in bullet chess. The repertoire is broad, practical, and occasionally mischievous, with enough unusual systems to keep opponents from feeling entirely at home.

- Longest winning streak: 19 games.

A Candidate Master with Character
As a Candidate Master, Emanuel Vaglio brings a competitive blend of calculation, persistence, and controlled chaos to the board. The record shows a player who can win quickly, recover from difficult positions, and keep pressing long after many opponents would have started checking the clock instead of the board.
For VaglioSagan, every game is an opportunity to create complications. In blitz, that is not merely a strategy. It is practically a lifestyle.
