Who is xadrez caxias?
xadrez caxias is a Brazilian blitz specialist whose display name blends the Portuguese word for chess with the city of Caxias. Under the handle XadrezMaBXd, they have played more than 43,000 rated games, building one of the most relentless rating climbs in online chess. What started as a modest 761 blitz rating in late 2022 eventually reached a stunning peak of 2508.
Playing Style and Opening Repertoire
As White, xadrez caxias is famously loyal to 1.Nf3, using it in thousands of games to steer the play toward the King's Indian Attack and the Hungarian Opening: Wiedenhagen-Beta Gambit. The Colle system also appears regularly, making for a robust, repeatable setup that suits marathon blitz sessions.
Against 1.e4, they favor the Sicilian Defense, especially the Kan Variation and the Alapin Variation. Their battles are rarely quick: games average roughly 80 moves, with an endgame frequency near 85%. They are comfortable grinding out wins late into the game, which explains their high scoring rate in long tactical fights.
Rivalries and Head to Head Battles
No opponent has tested xadrez caxias more than Ririchess00, who faced them 93 times in a fierce rivalry that includes wins for both sides. Another frequent adversary, edrocha10, holds a positive record in their 74 meetings, while marcelino25 and gambito1 also feature heavily in the Caxias battler's competitive circle.
One of their classic encounters with ririchess00 is a great example of this rivalry: View Game.
Streaks, Resilience, and Psychology
The numbers paint a picture of a player who simply does not give up. xadrez caxias once put together a longest winning streak of 60 games, and their comeback rate sits at a remarkable 81.63%. Even after losing a piece, they still win nearly half the time, an unusual sign of defensive tenacity.
Their best results come late at night: the strongest time of day is around 22:00, when the energy peaks and the blitz engine runs hottest. The tilt factor of 11 shows occasional frustration, but the overall pattern is one of endurance, volume, and a love for the fight.
Rating Journey
The blitz rating graph tells a story of steady, grinder-style improvement, with occasional volatility and long plateaus followed by big breakthroughs.
Peak blitz rating: 2508 (2026-09-19). Beyond blitz, xadrez caxias also reached 2316 in bullet and 2034 in rapid, proving that the attacking spirit works across every time control.
