Profile Summary: coyote_crazy

Meet coyote_crazy, the whirlwind of pawns and knights on the virtual chessboard! Known for a rather unorthodox blend of resilience and tactical shrewdness, this player has been steadily climbing the rating ladder, peaking at a nimble 1054 in Rapid Chess as of March 2025. But don't be fooled by the numbers alone—coyote_crazy’s games are a rollercoaster of exciting comebacks and nail-biting finishes.

With a penchant for the Italian Game and the Scandinavian Defense, coyote_crazy’s favorite openings reveal a taste for classic, yet occasionally spicy, middle-game skirmishes. In Rapid chess, the Italian Game boasts a robust 64% win rate, while the Scandinavian Defense holds its ground fiercely with around 57%. Not one to shy away from tactical mayhem, coyote_crazy also shines in the Queens Pawn Zukertort Chigorin Variation, delivering a commendable 69% win rate in Rapid play.

Although the Bullet rating hovers a bit more humbly around 631, coyote_crazy shows flashes of brilliance with perfect win rates in some aggressive Bullet openings like the Scandinavian Defense and the Four Knights Game. Blitz play tells a story of a gritty competitor with a peak rating pushing 878 and a fierce fighting spirit visible in over 1,000 recorded games.

Playing Style: This player tends to battle through complex endgames (57% endgame frequency) and occasionally surprises opponents with early resignations—only about 1.9% of games—earning both respect and a bit of mystery. Patience is key here, as the average moves per win stretch to over 61 moves—long fights with plenty of twists and turns.

In terms of psychological fortitude, coyote_crazy holds a staggering 80% comeback rate after falling behind—a trait most can only aspire to! Though the tilt factor is non-negligible (predictable for the passionate), this player knows how to channel frustration into relentless focus.

When asked about their best time to rise and conquer, coyote_crazy is most lethal around 8 AM (chess breakfast club, anyone?), boasting close to a perfect win rate during this hour. On weekends, Saturdays shine as the lucky day with nearly 59% wins—fun fact for fans organizing online tournaments.

Recent Battles & Signature Victories

Recently, coyote_crazy executed a brilliant checkmate against the formidable xoxoxoxxo, showcased by a well-calculated counterattack in the Vienna Game’s Falkbeer Variation. The final move sequence was as smooth as a coyote’s sly grin:
1. e4 e5, 2. Nc3 Nf6, 3. d4 Bb4 ... 22...Rxg5#

Not without setbacks, coyote_crazy’s resilience shines through losses that only fuel the next comeback attempt. The spirited battles show a player who continuously learns from each game and defies expectations—onward and upward!

Fun fact: Opponents like xoxoxoxxo, yhamlet, and tayevil have all tasted the sting of defeat at the hands of coyote_crazy recently, with perfect win records against them—no mercy in the wild!

To sum it up: coyote_crazy is a fierce, clever, and sometimes unpredictably crazy competitor who loves a long tactical fight and never backs down from a challenge. Whether crushing foes by checkmate or squeezing out wins by patience, this player embodies the spirit of a true chess coyote prowling the digital savannah.

Hi coyote_crazy! — Post-game Feedback

What you’re already doing well

  • Tactical alertness. Your win against xoxoxoxxo (see miniature below) shows you can spot double–attacks and mating nets.
  • Clock control. You often keep 70-80 % of your time after 20 moves, so calculation, not time trouble, decides your games.
  • Opening repertoire. With White you know the Accelerated London System well; with Black you are comfortable in open 1.e4 e5 positions.

Recurring problems that cost points

  1. Pawn storms before king safety.
Games against kopnu and moh22amed show g- and h-pawn pushes while your king stayed in the centre. Castle first, then attack.
  2. Vacated squares on b4/f4/c4.
In the loss to maxboada1 …Nb4 hit c2/d3 because you advanced the b-pawn too early. Before pushing a pawn, ask: “Which squares will I give away?”
  3. Trading the London bishop too cheaply.
After 10.Bxe7?! in the A45 game you lost dark-square control, letting Black’s queen & bishop invade.
  4. Converting material.
Even in wins (e.g. versus tayevil) counter-play was possible. When ahead, trade pieces (not pawns) and centralise your king.

Tue/ThuReplay the miniature below without moving pieces, explaining every move aloud.

Note how every Black move added a concrete threat. Aim for this clarity in all attacking positions.

Opening homework

  • With White: Mix in 3.Nf3 & 4.c4 versus …d5 so opponents can’t prepare only for your London.
  • With Black: Against 1.e4 study the first 8 moves of the main-line Italian (…Bc5, …Nf6, …d6). It’s safer than the …f6 line in your game with vtigambit.
