What’s working well

  • Tactical vision: Your recent wins show quick spotting of mating nets and piece co-ordination (e.g. the Ne2# tactic against juliocaracas).

Key areas to improve

  1. Time management
    Three of the last six losses were on time (sometimes versus <1200 opposition). Practise one session per day at a slightly slower control (5 + 5 or 10 + 0) and aim to reach move 20 with ≥60 % of your clock. Use pre-moves only in completely forced lines.
  2. King safety & back-rank discipline
    • Dutch loss: 24…Ng6 left g- and h-files unattended.
    • Caro-Kann loss: back-rank mate on h3.
    Create “automatic” luft (h3/h6 or a3/a6) whenever both rooks are still on the board and queens are present.
