Hi Jiju012 – personalised post-session feedback
What you already do well
- Active piece play. Your wins often start with quick development and open lines that invite tactics.
- Tactical alertness. Moves such as 29.Ne6+!! in your win over nyoncato show you can spot winning shots under pressure.
- Fighting spirit. You keep searching for counter-play instead of giving up when the position gets messy—an excellent competitive habit.
Biggest improvement opportunities
- King safety & basic structure
In several losses (e.g. vs manaoy) you delayed castling, advanced flank pawns and became the target. Adopt the simple checklist: develop → castle → connect rooks before launching pawns. - Blunder-check routine
Many defeats were single-move collapses. Before making any move, pause three seconds and ask “What is my opponent threatening?”. This one habit will save more points than any opening book. - Focused opening menu
• As White: play the Italian with 4.c3 (easy plans, solid structure).
• As Black: keep your e5 lines or add the Scandinavian Defense for variety.
Fewer openings = deeper understanding = fewer early blunders. - Endgame fundamentals
The marathon vs d-bonnet slipped from winning to lost. Spend 15 min/day on king-and-pawn and basic rook endings (start with the idea of opposition).
Target exercises for the coming week
- Solve 15 puzzles/day rated 400-800; move on if you spend more than 3 minutes on one position.
- Play two 15|10 games and self-annotate them before turning on the engine.
- Study this model miniature and try to beat the computer with it:

. Try to schedule serious games during your “green” hours.Quick pre-move checklist
- Are all my pieces protected?
- What did my opponent’s last move threaten?
- Can I improve my worst-placed piece?
- Only then look for tactics.
Keep enjoying the ride, and ping me after your next 20 games for the next layer of training. Good luck!
