Who Is Qweert?
Qweert is a chess account that has seen it all, from the raw early skirmishes of 2009 to the patient grind of the mid-2020s. With more than 11,800 rated games played, Qweert has built a reputation on volume, stubbornness, and an almost reckless willingness to keep clicking "Play Again."
Although Qweert's preferred time control is Rapid, the real legend was forged in Blitz and Bullet queues. He has played nearly 8,900 rated Blitz games and over 2,400 bullet games, with a Blitz peak of 2403 (2024-06-21) and a bullet peak of 2401 (2024-10-04). Some players chase titles; Qweert chases the clock, and routinely catches it.
A Blitz Marathon
If marathon runners collects miles, Qweert collects "game". His Blitz rating journey spans more than a decade and a half, with peaks that touch expert territory and valleys that test the soul. The mountains below are proof that patience, volume, and a good internet connection can take you a long way.
The grind produced a career-best winning streak of 21 games, and a longest losing streak of 11 that would have made most players quit. Instead, Qweert did what all great grindersters do: requeued and tried again.
Opening Repertoire
Qweert is a walking opening encyclopedia with a chaotic streak. Against the Caro-Kann Defense, he has scored a ferocious 69% win rate in Blitz, and his handling of quiet structures like the Slav Defense has kept opponents guessing for years.
With the black pieces, Qweert has built a career around the Sicilian Defense, particularly the Alapin and Taimanov variations. He has also put in serious work against the King's Indian Defense, turning heavily theoretical lines into practical wins.
And then there are the offbeat experiments. The Amar Gambit appears in his history more often than anyone would expect, proof that Qweert values fun over rating safety. He will play a gambit at 5 a.m., win it, and somehow make it look reasonable.
Rivals and Recurring Characters
No marathoner runs alone. Qweert's career features a rotating cast of familiar usernames who kept coming back for more. His most frequent antagonist is Ivo Maris, faced 279 times, with Qweert taking 189 wins. Close behind is davidlaan, a regular sparring partner who has lost 129 of their 168 meetings. And titanium64 has provided the stiffest regular resistance, claiming 19 wins in their 73-game rivalry.
The Style Behind the Stats
Qweert's playing style can be summed up in one word: relentless. His early resignation rate is just 3.13%, so do not expect an early gift. He reaches endgames in 73.28% of his games and grinds out wins that average around 70 moves, which means his opponents must be willing to go the distance.
The comeback stats are absurd: a comeback rate of 84.59%, and a win rate after losing a piece of 50.89%. Even after a blunder, Qweert simply rolls up his sleeves, fixes his crown, and keeps fighting. There is also a clear preference for the white side, where he wins 54.5% of the time, but at his preferred 5 a.m. slot, he is dangerous with either color.
