What already works well

  • Tactical sharpness – Miniatures like 1.e4 Nf6 2.e5 … 6.Qxf7# and the Philidor crush against juanmario_88 prove you recognise mating nets instantly.
  • Willingness to seize the initiative – Early queen raids (2.Qh5, 4.Qf3) unsettle unprepared opponents and often win material.
  • Practical tenacity – The 66-move win over moe0241 shows stubborn defence and clock management under pressure.

Biggest improvement levers

  1. Opening discipline
Most recent losses begin with premature queen moves: 1.e4 e5 2.Qh5 (lost to nathan1234567) or 3.Qh3 (lost to davidsoncol). Every early queen sortie hands the opponent a free tempo and the initiative. Challenge for the next 30 games: keep the queen at home until at least move 5 unless you win a piece.
  2. King safety & central control
In the Pirc loss to mrrecon14 your king wandered to f3 while Black’s pieces attacked. Follow the classical recipe: develop minor pieces, castle, connect rooks, then attack.
  3. Defensive awareness
You sometimes overlook counter-shots (19…Rxf2!! vs mrrecon14, 24…Qxd4+ vs Davidsoncol). Add one daily puzzle set focused on “find the defence” positions to balance your attacking bias.
  4. End-game conversion
Converting the won rook ending vs moe0241 took 40 extra moves. Polish basic rook-and-pawn techniques so you can finish games efficiently and save energy.

Six-week structured plan

WeeksMain focusDaily 45-min routine
1-2Sound opening repertoire15 min theory, 15 min model games, 15 min blitz with queen-move ban before move 5
3-4Defensive tactics30 min custom puzzles, 15 min self-annotation of one loss
5-6End-game technique20 min rook endings, 10 min strategy video, 15 min rapid from equal end-games

Quick blunder-check before every move

  • What is my opponent threatening?
  • Are all my pieces defended? (Loose piece = lost piece)
  • Can I improve my worst-placed piece?
  • Is my king 100 % safe after the move?

Keep your attacking flair, but ground it in solid fundamentals; once opening and defensive play catch up with your tactics a 300-point jump is well within reach. Good luck, and enjoy the journey!
