Hi ruste7 – here is your personalised feedback

What you are already doing well

  • Consistent repertoire. As Black you trust the Caro-Kann, and it brings you good Daily results (see the three latest wins).
  • Tactical eye. 28…Ne5+ against lizalizalllcd and 29…Nb4+ in your blitz win versus vacho1960 show you spot forks and zwischenzugs when the position becomes sharp.
  • Fighting spirit. Several wins came from slightly worse middlegames that you turned in your favour in rook or pawn endings.

Biggest improvement targets

  1. Time management in Live games
Two of your last five losses were on the clock. Play 5 + 5 or 10 + 5 temporarily and aim for an average > 10 s per move on the
    14567891011121314151617181920212223100%0%Hour of Day
    graph.
  2. Smoother development out of the opening
In the loss to Muradmm242 you spent four moves with one bishop (…Bg4-f3-e2-e3) and fell behind. Re-focus on the principles develop, castle, fight for the centre, especially in side-lines such as 2.f4 versus the Caro-Kann.
  3. End-game technique
You converted the rook ending vs Arab1999 but let the one vs Muradmm242 slip after 40…dxc4?. Refresh the Philidor, Lucena and basic king-and-pawn positions.

BlackMain-line Caro-Kann (4…Bf5 and 4…Nd7)You already like the structure – deeper knowledge will give you “free” middlegames.

Your current Center-Game/Wing-gambit ideas often leave you under-developed or down material.

38…Ne5+! was great. Even stronger was 40…Rh8! after the game line, keeping the outside passer while controlling the eighth rank.

4-week training plan

  • Daily: 15 puzzles focusing on forks, pins and discovered attacks (fork, pin, discovered attack).
  • 3×/week: One 15 + 10 game, self-annotate, then engine check.
  • 2×/week: 30 min end-game study (rook & pawn first).
  • Weekend: Review five master games in the Caro-Kann with your preferred structure.
