Meet 😎 👌
In an online chess world full of grandmaster-idol usernames and faded jokes, SebaGM chose a sunglasses emoji and an OK hand, then spent the next fourteen years earning them. With nearly 16,000 games of online blitz chess, bullet, and rapid on the record, this is one of the busiest and most stubborn profiles you will ever scroll through. The vibe is relaxed. The volume is not.
The Long Climb
The origin story is humble: exactly three blitz games in August 2012 at around 1230, followed by a two-year disappearing act worthy of a chess ninja. The return tour kicked off in August 2014, and by December SebaGM had punched through 2000. The pandemic years raised the ceiling further, with 420 blitz games in May 2020 alone and a push toward 2400 in early 2021.
Then came the volume era. July 2024 produced 682 blitz games. May 2025 produced 872, which is roughly 28 games per day, every day, including weekends. All that grinding eventually forged a peak blitz rating of 2531 (2026-01-25) in January 2026. The full journey looks like a mountain range drawn by someone who never sleeps:
Rapid: The Quiet Masterpiece
Blitz is the day job, but rapid chess is the art form. The rapid record reads like a typo: 24 wins, 3 losses, 5 draws, a tidy 75% score and a peak of 2320 (2025-01-02). Bullet chess, meanwhile, sits at a perfectly zen 1149-1141-104 with a peak of 2290 (2026-02-04), proof that when the clock hits one minute, everyone is equally doomed.
Opening Repertoire: Curated Chaos
Most players own one opening and guard it like family. SebaGM owns a zoo. With White, the Amazon Attack has been unleashed 871 times in blitz, including 755 rounds of the Siberian Attack, followed closely by the Amar Gambit, an opening that begins with 1.Nh3 and a dare. Here it is in all its questionable glory:
With Black, the Sicilian Defense: Najdorf Variation has been played 645 times at a "suffering builds character" 41.7%, with the Czech Defense and the Nimzo-Larsen Attack waiting in the wings. As White against 1.e4, the Accelerated Dragon scores a respectable 53%, and the French Burn Variation is right behind it. The full menu:
Style: The Comeback Machine
The numbers describe a grinder's grinder. Roughly 80% of games reach an endgame, wins average a marathon 78.5 moves, and the comeback rate is an absurd 87.56%. Even after losing a piece, SebaGM still wins 42% of the time. One-sided losses happen less than 1% of the time, and an early resignation rate of 48% means opponents rarely get to enjoy a slow victory lap.
- Endgame frequency: 79.8%
- Comeback rate: 87.6%
- Longest winning streak: 11 games
- Longest losing streak: 14 games, which nobody discusses at the dinner table
- Checkmate finisher in nearly 1,300 wins, plus 98 stalemates for the scholars
Nemeses, Victims, and prosecco
Every long career collects recurring characters. MKR77 has been the designated victim, losing 15 of 18 encounters. lkman27 is the other side of the coin, a nemesis holding a 17-11 edge across 29 duels. And Monseigneur Le Comte has provided 28 perfectly sparkling, evenly split battles. Meanwhile, SebaGM has delivered 36,697 checks and absorbed 44,662, with the queen doing most of the heavy lifting and, apparently, most of the bruising.
Psychological Profile: Tilt-Resistant, Clock-Dependent
The tilt factor sits at a meditative 14, and peak performance arrives around 1 AM, because obviously it does. There is one confession: the rated versus casual win rate gap of -56 suggests the sharpest chess happens when nothing is at stake. Against higher-rated opponents the wins get scarce at about 28%, which is the eternal ladder experience: everyone is either prey or predator.
Legacy
Still active as of February 2026, with a freshly minted bullet peak and a blitz rating parked in the 2450s, SebaGM is living proof that consistency, enormous volume, and a deeply unfashionable opening book can carry a sunglasses emoji all the way into the 2500 blitz club. The sunglasses stay on. The OK hand approves.
