Caissa_Simp: Devout of the Chess Goddess
A Simp for Caissa
Every chess player serves something. Caissa_Simp serves Caissa, the mythical goddess of chess, and has done so publicly since April 2016. The username is a confession and the game log is the evidence: nearly twenty thousand blitz games, five hundred bullet games, and a loyalty to 1.e4 that borders on liturgy. This is a bullet-first speed demon who fell hard for fast chess, vanished for a few years, then returned in 2023 to become one of the most relentless blitz grinders on the server.
First Love: Bullet Chess
The origin story is pure speed. In April 2016, the account played 206 bullet games in a single month at an average rating just over 2000, and by January 2017 the bullet rating had reached 2222. Then came the great silence: scattered blitz cameos in 2018 and 2019, one rapid appearance in 2022, nothing else. The return to bullet in November 2023 was absurdly efficient: exactly one bullet game, one win, and a personal bullet peak of 2507. 2507 (2023-11-17) The career bullet record sits at a healthy 275 wins against 219 losses, armed with the Amar Gambit at 65 percent and a Colle variation named after a pterodactyl at a mighty 80 percent.
The Blackburne Shilling Gambit Collection
Ask anyone who has crossed this account and they will describe a familiar trauma: the Blackburne Shilling Gambit. Caissa_Simp has played it 1,488 times in blitz alone, winning 705 of those games, and the win rates climb in slower pools: over 70 percent in rapid and a flawless 100 percent in daily chess. The trap is ancient, the joke is eternal, the victims never learn. Exhibit A below.
It is not all traps and mischief. The broader repertoire is a mountain of reps: 601 blitz games in the Sicilian Defense: Najdorf Variation, 867 with the obscure Ruy Lopez Classical Benelux Variation, possibly making Caissa_Simp the world's leading expert on an opening most people cannot name, and 659 more in the Caro-Kann Defense. The Accelerated Dragon Exchange Variation quietly wins at nearly 55 percent, which is practically model behavior.
The Blitz Treadmill
The 2023 comeback turned blitz into a part time job. December 2023: 974 games. April 2024: 1,300 games, roughly 43 per day, every day. July 2025: another 1,176. Through it all, the rating ground steadily upward from the low 2100s to a blitz peak of 2603 on December 13, 2025. 2603 (2025-12-13) Opening discipline never wavered: 1.e4 was played 4,292 times in 2025 against nine lonely experiments with 1.d4.
Rivals, Frenemies, and the Wall
- capizao: the most frequent sparring partner at 45 games, and the head to head record is perfectly honest: 23 wins, 21 losses, 1 draw. A human coin flip.
- Adit Lolana: 42 games, 20-22. Another coin flip, slightly weighted the wrong way.
- Albano Cuevas: 37 games and a comfortable 24-12, the closest thing to a favorite prey.
- Riobaldo56: the wall. In 31 meetings there are only 8 wins against 15 losses and 8 draws, the account's personal nemesis.
Style Report: The Comeback Machine
- Reaches the endgame in more than 76 percent of games, and the wins are slow cooked: about 80 moves on average versus 72 in the losses.
- Comeback rate above 91 percent, and even after dropping a whole piece the win rate holds at 43 percent. The early resignation rate is 2.62 percent, because resigning is for people with somewhere to be.
- 2,634 career wins by timeout. The flag is a weapon, and it is used without mercy.
- 17,612 career rook checks. When someone's king gets knocked on, odds are the rook is doing the knocking.
- A morning creature: the win rate at 8 AM is a scorching 57 percent, while 11 AM collapses to a tragic 40 percent. Official advice for opponents: book the rematch for late morning.
- The nadir was a 30 game losing streak. The response was a 12 game winning streak. Emotional stability through sheer volume.
- Undefeated in daily chess at 24-0-1, with the only blemish a single draw in a Colle variation named after a pterodactyl. Perfection was nearly achieved.
Legacy
A decade of service, a blitz peak of 2603, a bullet peak of 2507, and 9,242 blitz losses that are best understood as tithes to the goddess rather than defeats. Caissa_Simp plays more, resigns less, and flags harder than almost anyone on the ladder. Caissa may never hand out a title, but she surely knows a devoted simp when she sees one.
